The company is now looking for its first group of founding kitchens in the Northern Rivers.

Experienced chefs, restaurant owners and talented local cooks are being invited to create a new kitchen concept of their own and become part of the first SSU Australia launch.

SSU Australia is a new platform where cooks can launch their own branded kitchens from home or an existing kitchen, selling directly to local customers through pickup and delivery.

The idea is simple: not everyone who dreams of starting a food business can afford to open a restaurant.

SSU Australia gives them somewhere to begin.

The platform will help cooks create their kitchen brand and menu, work through the required food-safety and council steps, and get ready to start selling.

It can also give existing chefs and food businesses a way to test a new menu or launch another food brand without opening another venue.

SSU Australia is now looking for its first five Founding Kitchens in Ballina and the Northern Rivers.

The company hopes its first kitchens will be the beginning of something proudly born in Ballina — new local food brands, new small businesses and new opportunities for people with something worth cooking.
